Quartzite is very heat resistant, much more so than engineered quartz. However, to prevent thermal shock and protect the stone’s natural structure, we always recommend using trivets for pots taken directly from the stove.
Quartzite is a premium material because of its rarity and the difficulty of fabrication. Its extreme hardness requires more time and specialized tools to cut, but the result is a nearly indestructible luxury surface.
